Asking a client questions about his desired business objectives is:


  1. a good idea, because it makes you sound like you understand the client.
  2. a good idea, because it can lead you to other information that may be valuable in providing additional solutions.
  3. only important when you are not getting very clear responses about the client’s marketing objectives.
  4. a bad idea, because the scope is too broad for a marketing meeting.
